ROANOKE, Va.?
Bobby Martin will be named as William Fleming High School?s new football coach, a Roanoke City Public Schools source confirmed to WDBJ7.
A formal announcement will be made at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the high school cafeteria.
Martin comes to William Fleming from GW Danville where he also coached the Eagles? basketball team.
He takes over at William Fleming for Lee Johnson, who resigned in November after three seasons. The Colonels struggled in Johnson?s three seasons, posting a 2-28 record. William Fleming finished the 2012 season at 1-0.
It?s been a good week for the Martin family. Bobby Martin?s nephew, Orion Martin, was recently named Martinsville High School?s football coach. Bobby and Orion Martin both played college football at Virginia Tech.
