MSU begins search for new vice president of Administration and Finance

Montana State University will be accepting applications for a new vice president of Administration and Finance beginning Jan. 1, 2012.

A 13-member committee has been formed to direct the national search for the university's chief financial officer. Shelley McKamey, executive director of the Museum of the Rockies, is the search committee's chair.

"We expect to have a very rich pool of candidates to choose from," McKamey said. "MSU has an excellent reputation and this is a very dynamic and exciting position. The next vice president of Administration and Finance will play an important role in advancing the university."

The search committee anticipates have finalists visit the campus shortly after spring break, which ends March 18 with a new vice president taking office on July 1, 2012.

Members of the search committee are: Mary Ellen Baukol, associate dean of administration and finance, MSU-Great Falls; Blake Bjornson, president, ASMSU; Christina Fournier, Athletics; Terrie Iverson, vice chancellor for administrative services, MSU-Billings; Jeff Jacobsen, dean, College of Agriculture, director MAES; Marvin Lansverk, chair of MSU Faculty Senate; Sue Ost, director of business services, MSU-Northern; Leslie Schmidt, Assistant Vice President for Research; Melanie Stocks, sports facilities; Kevin Thane, chair of MSU Staff Senate; Jeanne Wilkinson, chair of Professional Council; Allen Yarnell, MSU Vice President of Student Success.
