Kelly Services is seeking a Process R&D Laboratory Technologist for our client, a global chemical company, in Midland Michigan.?? This position is a long term contract position and can be extended indefinitely based on performance and business needs.?

Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities:

?

The Process R&D Laboratory Technologist will play an important role within the company???s Process Research & Development group, which provides support to the agricultural sciences division.?

?

The Process R&D Laboratory Technologist will perform routine laboratory experiments using glass and metal vessels while safely handling organic and inorganic chemicals (ml up to 50L).? Reactions will be monitored and chemical isolation will be performed.? The use of analytical instrument will be performed on a variety of instrumentation including HPLC, GC/MS, and NMR.? ?

Standard instrument maintenance and changing of gas cylinders will be performed.? An accurate recording of data in a laboratory notebook as well as active participation in all safety programs will be required.? ?

Qualifications:

?

·???????? AS or BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology or related field.? ??

·???????? 0-1 years experience working in a chemistry laboratory or environment

·???????? Perform daily work independently; be highly productive and efficient.

·???????? Be an effective, contributing member of the team.

·???????? Exude a ???Strong Commitment to Service??? attitude.

·???????? High regard for individual and group safety is expected.

·???????? Strong oral and written communication skills.?
