Aldersgate United Methodist Church has been working for over a year to raise money to build a new multipurpose building and community center.
Sunday they dedicated a nearly 8,000-square-foot area that will play host to children's athletic events, plays and concerts and civic meetings.
Construction took about nine months and came with a price tag of nearly $1.2 million.
