There is always some truth to the untruths. There are different reactions from each person?s body regarding exercise. You?ve probably heard the statement about metabolism boosts and the length they can last, this is not always a full truth. This statement is semi true in that you will not continue to experience calorie burn after the workout even though your metabolism might be on the upper end of the scale. The reason is the actual increase in metabolic rate, for hours after the workout, is not as great as some have claimed it to be. The increases are not significant enough to make a difference really. One myth that needs to be squashed now is that you have to work out hard to gain benefit from your exercise routine, this is not true, even simple exercise can give you big benefits. This can take a day or two for you to really notice the effects of a hard workout. When you decide to get in shape and hit the gym hard your first time out after a length of inactivity is when you will feel this the most. If you want to avoid this, take it slow, talk to your doctor and you?ll get the best experience.

There are mounds of research supporting the fact that a healthy fitness program of exercise and diet will significantly reduce, slow, or prevent serious disease conditions. It?s no secret that exercise has great effects on cardiovascular health. High blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol are only a few of the other conditions that can be positively impacted by exercise. Aging is another condition that can be aided with exercise and healthy lifestyle choices.

Health and fitness advice is never too far away, some of it is truth and some if it is something else. The best thing to do when you hear something doubtful you need to research it to find some credible information to support or refute it.
