A day after Sara Gilbert and partner Allison Adler announced their split, the sister of The Talk co-host has taken a similar route.
Melissa Gilbert has filed for divorce from Bruce Boxleitner, her husband of 16 years. The couple has a 15-year old son and will seek joint custody of him.
"We have loved each other for a very long time and we share four incredible sons together," Gilbert said in a statement.
The actress starred on Little House on the Prairie as a child, while Boxleitner was most recently seen on the short-lived CBS series Chaos and appeared on an episode of NCIS last year.
