So I graduated college and started working 4-5 years ago and have been investing in the market every since and doing pretty well(I get a little better at it every year).
I recently came across a Roth IRA and I was wondering if anybody had any experience investing in stocks with this type of account. What are the transaction fees like when you move money from one stock to another? How easy is it to invest in whatever stocks you want compared with just signing up with an online broker.
Also from my understanding you can withdraw your contributions not including earnings at any time. What would the penalty be if you withdrew the earnings before you were 59 1/2. Say I made 100 dollars in earnings then withdrew it, how much of that 100 dollars in earnings would I get?
